 Overview

 This  Covert  CCTV  Camera  is  designed  for  covert  (hidden)  use  in  high  risk  applications. The  Covert  CCTV Camera  looks  like  a  normal   Smoke  Alarm  Sensor  but  has  a   Colour  High  Resolution  Camera  and Microphone  hidden  inside  it. The  Camera  looks  through  the black  mesh  on  the  Smoke  Alarm  and  provides high  resolution  images  suitable  for  recognition  and  basic  identification. It  is  designed  for  covert  use allowing  the  monitoring  of  a  room,  office  or  other  area  without  anyone  being  aware  of  a  camera  being present!  The  camera  is  designed  for  internal  use  only  and  can  be  ceiling  mounted.

Features

• Ideal for high risk applications, the camera is built around a Sony 1/3" Super HAD CCD image sensor which provides recognition quality and basic identification quality images.

• The camera is able to produce 480 TVL images. These are equivalent to Near DVD quality and suitable for recording at 704x576 (4CIF) or 720x576 (D1) resolutions.

• The camera will operate in light levels down to 0.1 lux, making it suitable for use in any environment that has a light level above 0.1 lux. Examples of environments that have a light level above 0.1 lux are:

• Dawn and Dusk
• A Residential Road with Street Lighting
• A Bar or Nightclub

• The camera is fitted with a 3.7mm fixed iris lens. The camera has a fixed horizontal viewing angle of 78° when used with this lens

• The camera features an Xvision IXC1 DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chip which offers the following functions to increase the image sensors performance:

• Automatic Electronic Iris - This feature automatically adjusts the brightness of the camera image to match the amount of available light.

• Automatic White Balance - This feature automatically adjusts the colour temperature of the camera image to match the type of light available, so that white and other colours appear as natural as possible.

• Automatic Gain Control - This feature automatically increases the video output level of the camera in low light conditions. This has the effect of making the picture brighter (however it may also add more noise to the picture, as it is amplifying all aspects of the video signal)

• Low Smear - This feature helps to balance out the camera image when some areas of it may be looking at very bright or reflective objects.

• Edge Enhancement - This feature sharpens the edges of objects and people in the camera image making the picture sharper and the resolution higher.

• The camera is fitted with a Multi Directional Microphone for monitoring audio in the area being viewed.

• The camera looks like a Smoke Alarm Sensor and is designed for covert (hidden) use

• The camera is not weather resistant and can be used internally only.

• The camera can be ceiling mounted.

• The camera is supplied with a 2 Year Warranty.
